Day 9: Today is a special Valentine's Day for Olympic couples
It’s Valentine’s Day in the Dolomites and love is in the air for Olympic couples. Especially Bobsledder Kaysha Love, who convinced her now-fiance Hunter Powell to try the sport and now they’re both on Team USA. And there are so many Mixed Doubles Curling couples, Date Night is taking on a whole new meaning.
Of course there are also the iconic American Ice Dancers Madison Chock and Evan Bates. Skating partners for 15 years, the pair began dating in 2016 and got married in 2024. The capped their four-Olympics career, which included receiving a Gold Medal at the Paris 2024 Summer Games, with another Gold and a Silver Medal in Milan.
But some couples will have to wait to celebrate, like the real Heated Rivalry in Women’s Ice Hockey where Finland’s Ronja Savolainen and Sweden’s Anna Kjellbin are engaged and on a course to face off for a medal.
And if you find yourself single on this Valentine’s Day, just follow the lead of American Luger Sophia Kirby and let the whole Olympic Village know your ready to mingle.
